Inspections
evaluations and appraisals of classic cars
Pre-purchase inspectionsThe purchase of a classic car can be something of a minefield. Years of ownership can result in an extensive knowledge of the problems associated with a particular car. But if the model is new to you this knowledge has yet to be acquired. Technical expertise is also invaluable. And is the car really as described?
A real 3.0 litre SC or a beautiful, but less collectable 911, perhaps sporting a misleading badge ? We can tell you what car you are looking at. Prepared by BMW Motorsport GmBH and tested at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring circuit, or prepared by someone enthusiastic, but not associated with BMW ? We know what should be under the bonnet of an M-Sport prepared car. How can you tell if the chassis of a 2CV is rusted when you can't see it? What repairs have been made to the car you are interested in purchasing? How well has any restoration been done? Paintwork can hide a multitude of sins. Has the car you wish to buy been in an accident or is it a ringer, made from two cars? |
