About l'Atelier d'Edward

Edward Littlechild, the proprietor, is an English mechanic. Now living with his French family in Le Croisty, Morbihan central Brittany.

British trained, Edward has more than 23 years experience in automobile engineering, car restoration and appraisal. He has considerable experience in  the preparation of cars for motor sport.

Having recently moved to new larger premises, L'Atelier d'Edward is completely equipped for the repair, restoration and maintenance of all classic vehicles and cars.

We have our own vehicles scheduled for restoration which will subsequently be offered for sale. These include 2 of the sportiest BMWs made and another Citroën H type van. If these don't interest you and you wish to purchase a classic car elsewhere, we can help you get the right car with an evaluation.

LeBonCoin website is a good place to start your search. This morning there were over 350 pre-1980 cars for sale just in Brittany. The site covers as small or as big a region as you choose, up to the whole of France.

If you are searching for a particular car, give a thought to local clubs. Our local 2CV club, Pourleth 2CV club for example. Clubs in your area may be able to steer you towards a decent car not too far from home.

The big clubs such as the Mehari Club de France provide many services, including spare parts. The existence of a decent club can make a big difference to the experience of owning a classic car.

Whatever car you choose; for appraisals, inspections, bodywork, engine rebuilds, modifications for sport or complete restorations; contact us for a classic friendly approach.

Testimonials

" Edward has made our classic Eriba camper like new which we didn't think possible. He was polite and courteous throughout the process and we were always made aware of the costs involved. I had the tyres changed next-door which was a bonus."
